This past weekend, Sandy’s Spiel hosted over 100 female hoopers from all corners of the Peach State for its Spring Showcase and Hypesouth Media was in attendance taking in the action. Here are a few interesting takeaways and notes from the event.

Tori Epps, 2026, Heritage-Catoosa

Epps caught our attention with her physicality and relentless effort on both ends of the floor. She flourished with her bully ball approach and will always be in line for playing time as a result. Her hustle and offensive skillset had her in double-double territory almost every game.

Heaven Arkwright, 2027, Jenkins-Savannah

Right now, Arkwright looks like a project big, but size is something you can’t teach. At 6-foot-4, she covered a lot of ground defensively. She patrolled the paint swatting shots and used her length to force misses on the perimeter. Arkwright showed flashes offensively and possesses all the tools to become a high level recruiting target.

 Deyva Davis, 2027, Milton

Deyva Davis was easily one of the top scorers in attendance at Sandy’s Spiel Girl’s Spring Showcase. The Milton guard is a blur end-to-end with the ball in her hands and an efficient midrange jumpshooter.

Caylin Mathis, 2028, Central-Macon

Caylin Mathis is a tweener wing player that was effective attacking the basket and knocking down perimeter jumpers. The Central-Macon product will be a name to watch for in Georgia’s 2028 class. Big time athlete with good positional size.

Zuri Grant, 2027, Baldwin

Zuri Grant showed off an improved deep ball. The state champion, sophomore point guard continues to develop, has big game experience, and is on the rise in the Peach State.

Suri Clark, 2027, Baldwin

At 6-foot-2, Clark is an athletic specimen that contributed on both ends of the court. She used her size, length, and lateral movement to wreak havoc defensively and her speed on offense proved to be too much for opposing bigs. The Bravettes continue to produce next level post players.

Adelyn Thompson, 2027, Rabun County

We think it’s safe to say that Thompson’s shooting display on Saturday was not a fluke as she was one of the top shooters in Georgia’s A D-1 classification this school ball season. The Rabun County sophomore spaced the floor allowing ball handlers to create drive & kick action where she was automatic catching and shooting from any area beyond the three-point stripe.

Taylor Clark, 2027, Lakeview

A smooth lefty that made a living jumping passing lanes for steals leading to uncontested transition layups. Her offensive creativity in halfcourt scenarios was problematic for defenders and a breath of fresh air for onlookers. With two years left to play, don’t be surprised to see Clark become a household name around the state of Georgia moving forward.

Kacie Reeves, 2027, Central-Macon

Reeves demonstrated what a true floor general looks like. She took pride in facilitating, communicating, and applying intense on-ball defensive pressure. Impressive lead guard that is learning to be an extension of the coach on the court. When she puts it all together on the offensive end her stock will skyrocket.
