Macon, Georgia – The inaugural Heart of Georgia Classic powered by Hypesouth Media & On the Radar Hoops is officially in the books and we have a lot to unpack. This upstart event was a first for the Middle Georgia area and it did not disappoint. Here’s a look at part one of our three-part On the Rise Performers series.

Cole Cleek, Georgia Kings

Cleek is a youngster that competed hard and did not shy away from anything. His competitiveness and shot making ability were on full display.

Taylon Brisby, Pressure Athletic Group

A fiery sixth grader that displayed contagious, energetic emotions in clutch moments. He scored and got key stops when it mattered.

Kaleb Walls, Middle Georgia Family

Walls is small in stature, but plays bigger than what meets the eye. He thew in seven points, grabbed 3 rebounds, and collected 2 steals in a losing effort in the 12u championship game.

Gavin Milton, Warner Robins All-Stars

Milton is one of the unsung heroes on Warner Robins’ 13u squad. He came out the gate with 15 and 18 point performances respectively and quietly filled the stat book each game.

Bennett Haley, Empact Wolves

In a tournament filled with big time scorers, Haley solidified himself as one of the top bucket getters in attendance when it was all said and done. His 20-point outburst on day one versus Middle Ga Family put everyone on notice.

Christian Mitchell, Georgia Thunder Elite

A 30 piece in the 10u-11u championship game helped GTE capture the title and earned Mitchell MVP honors. This kid was undoubtedly one of the top fifth graders in the tournament.

Javion Barnhart, Empact Wolves

Barnhart had several solid performances and is a classic example of don’t judge a book by its cover.

Logan Lamar, Bostic Next Level

On a squad with really good guard play, Lamar made the most of opportunities and found ways to impact winning. His passion for the game is what jumped out the most.
