With the summer evaluation periods underway let’s take a look at which Middle Georgia prospects stood out during the spring sessions.

Chase Dupree, 2026, Southwest-Macon, Warner Robins All-Stars

Dupree burst onto the scene in March & April on the On the Radar Hoops Circuit and was tabbed an OTR midseason MVP for his production during the spring. Alcorn State extended an offer on June 14th and other programs like North Florida, Georgia State, UNC Asheville, and Jacksonville State to name a few have been tracking heavily.

The Southwest-Macon rising senior was also one of the top performers at the Georgia Basketball Coaches Association live event this past weekend where he averaged 21 points per game through 4 games and turned in a 32-point performance in front of a crowded baseline of college coaches. We fully expect to see a few more offers come down the pike during the summer evaluation periods.

Malik Gillespie, 2026, Houston County High School, Warner Robins All-Stars

Gillespie has been the most sought after midstate prospect over the past couple years and his ascension to one of the top targets in Georgia’s 2026 class continued this spring. On May 5th Presbyterian joined the list of Division-1 programs to pull the trigger and offer the Hoco product. He has been a consistent producer on the OTR Circuit for years and all his hardwork is seemingly starting to pay off.

At 6-foot-2, with supreme athleticism and a much improved long ball don’t be surprised to see higher level Division-1’s start to sniff around. Gillespie should be considered a priority prospect at OTR come July.

Karez Demory, 2026, Baldwin High School, AJ Bouye

Demory was the biggest winner from the spring in terms of collecting offers. SWAC members Southern University and Alcorn State both offered early spring and Cal State Bakersfield followed suit on May 20th.

He snuck onto recruiting boards running with AJ Bouye in the first half of the offseason and was impressive at the school ball, GBCA Live Event on June 20-22. Karez Demory is a name that should be in your notepads heading into the July evaluation periods.

Jmari Greene, 2026, Putnam High School, Devin Butts Elite

Greene is probably the least known player on the list, but that will change soon. The small town guard has been a model of consistency at the school ball level and has brought that junk-yard-dog mentality with him to the travel ball scene. He was named MVP of the SWISH Scouting Summer Showcase and averaged 25.5 points per game at GBCA Live.

Right now, Greene doesn’t hold any offers but has certainly played his way into a few recruiting conversations with his output during the spring. Non Division-1 programs should check him out at the Southern Hoops x On the Radar Shootout this Saturday June 28th at Next Play 360.
