On Tuesday March 28, 2023 Hypesouth Director of Basketball Monquencio Hardnett received news of his official induction into the Macon Sports Hall of Fame. The Macon, Georgia native starred on the hardwood at Central-Macon High School before going on to enjoy successful collegiate careers at Middle Georgia Junior College and the University of Connecticut respectively.
Following his playing career Hardnett has spent time giving back to the Middle Georgia community in many ways including mentorship, educational volunteering, and athletic training to name a few.
He also served as assistant boy’s basketball coach at Westside-Macon High School for seven years and is currently entering his third season as head boy’s basketball coach at Southwest-Macon High School. Congrats to a true Macon, Georgia pioneer.
