Khavon Moore is one of the more talented prep basketball players in the country. His stock began to rise two years ago while playing with the travel Atlanta Xpress team. Moore, an incredibly versatile wing player, impressed onlookers with his high basketball-IQ, ball handling skills, court vision, and scoring ability. Many evaluators widely view him as a sure shot pro.
National Stage Set
As a Westside-Macon (GA) product, he has provided the fanbase in Middle Georgia with a much needed breath of fresh air. It has been nearly two decades since Macon has possessed a nationally recognized hoop prospect. For the class of 2018, Moore is ranked No. 1 in the state of Georgia and No. 8 on the Rivals 150 national list.
With the Seminoles set to participate in a loaded Holiday Hoopsgiving tourney along with a January showdown against Tampa Catholic (FL), Moore will battle it out with some of the nation’s best prep prospects. The most anticipated is the head-to-head matchup versus blue chip forward Kevin Knox. Further, GHSA powerhouse, Pace Academy joins Westside in Class AAA this season, which could potentially set up a meeting with 5-star big man Wendell Carter.
At this point, the 6-foot-9 junior holds a plethora of offers from HM D-1 programs such as Florida, LSU, Louisville, Maryland, N.C. State, Ohio St., St. John’s, Texas A&M, UConn & UGA among others.
