Macon, Georgia — Reigning Bibb County champs, Rutland Lady Canes squared off against the Weaver Lady Noles in an action packed thriller.

Both squads battled back and forth all the way down to the wire where the Lady Noles squeezed out a 37-36 victory to capture the 2023-24 county championship.

Weaver’s Dominique Billue threw in 27 points, pulled down 14 rebounds, and swatted 3 shots en route to earning Hypesouth MVP.

Jamyree Simmons led Rutland with 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals. Caylin Mathis also added 10 points and 9 boards for the Lady Canes.
