Macon, Georgia – One of the most satisfying things about Hypesouth Events is watching up and coming prospects emerge. This year, several relatively unknown ninth and tenth graders made their marks and today we take a quick look at the top overall underclassmen performers.

Isaiah Camon, Houston County, Guard, 2025
Camon caught our attention right off the bat. The smooth lefty can stroke it from beyond the arc and his overall offensive repertoire was a thing of beauty. We believe this kid will very much be in the varsity plans at Houston County this season.

Louis Hayward-El, Warner Robins, Guard, 2025
Hayward-El played like he had nothing to lose. The unknown sophomore made hustle plays and attacked with no fear. We were impressed with his approach, energy, and effort all day.

Cam Cherry, Peach County, Guard, 2026
After spending time in Florida, Cherry has found his way back to the mid-state. Peach County lost a big chunk of its offensive firepower to graduation, but the 6-foot-1 freshman looks like a formidable candidate to ease the pain some.

Caron Howard & Chase Dupree, Southwest-Macon 2026

Don’t be surprised to hear these names early and often. This talented freshman backcourt duo made waves at Unsigned Hype Camp and looked ready to be thrown right into the varsity fire. Howard (pictured) is a high-IQ ambidextrous player that fits the mold of a traditional floor general while Dupree (not pictured) is more of a long, rangy do-it-all combination guard.
