Every year players up their game and new names emerge. Heading into the 2025-26 school ball season we examine five midstate point guards who are ready to breakout.
Shamauri Martin, Wilcox, Class of 2027
Martin was a major contributor for Wilcox last season. She was the second leading scorer turning in 13.9 points per game en route to helping guide the Lady Patriots to the first state championship in program history. Although she’s well known in Rochelle, Georgia Martin lacks statewide notoriety, but we expect her name to ring more bells by the end of her junior campaign.
Zuri Grant, Baldwin, Class of 2027
Grant is another state championship floor leader who has played in the title game in each of her first two seasons. She’s shown flashes and had some impressive moments despite playing a smaller role, but with the departure of a few key pieces we project her to step into a lead role this season and beyond.
Kacie Reeves, Central-Macon, Class of 2027
Reeves played valuable spot minutes on a Final Four squad as a freshman two years ago and was a full time starter last season on her way to being recognized as an all-region performer. She’ll be asked to do more moving forward and is in good position to put the Peach State on notice.
Aeria Hagans, Washington County, Class of 2027
Hagans is a fiery, speedy lead guard who has consistently produced over a two year span. Her relentless downhill attack and competitive nature will put her in important conversations this season.
Khloie Stanley, Ace, Class of 2028
Stanley was fearless in her high school debut and we look for more of the same this year. The south-paw floor general can score, distribute, and defend at a high level and is on a mission to get the respect she deserves.
