Hypesouth is a news-media and athletics site that is geared towards covering prep student-athletes in the southern region. The idea is to create an extra exposure avenue and assist them in their recruitment. We are dedicated to providing a reliable information source for college coaches and prep sports fans. Updated stats, contact info, and in-depth evaluation content will be available. Hypesouth consists of a certified and qualified staff that have great credentials and adequate training.

KOWACIE REEVES

Founder/Editor-in-Chief/Athletic Coach

After successfully launching The Macon Report Sports Blog, Kowacie Reeves Sr. will serve as the primary editor-in-chief and evaluator for Hypesouth’s news-media department. He will travel throughout the southern region to evaluate and interview high school athletes as well as provide accurate write-up reports. In addition, he will also cover events and provide live updates via social media. Reeves has always loved to give his critical analysis on sports and his commitment to helping youth succeed academically and athletically is unparalleled.

EDUCATION

Reeves Sr. is a graduate of Southwest-Macon (GA) High School. In addition, he focused on general studies during a two year tenure at Brewton-Parker College before transferring over to Middle Georgia State University, where he received his Degree in English with a minor in Creative Writing.

Weaver Middle School Boys Basketball Assistant Coach – (2014-2016)

Assisted in athletic coaching and training for boys in grades 6th-8th.

On the Radar Hoops – (2017-present)

Serves as a contributing writer-evaluator for one of the premier grassroots basketball scouting services in the southern region.

MONQUENCIO HARDNETT

Co-founder/Player Development Coordinator/Athletic Trainer: 

Monquencio Hardnett enjoys coaching and leading youth development ventures in the Middle Georgia area. His “Q-Salute” series highlights youth who excel academically and have no behavior referrals. Expanding his horizons, he brings his Hardnett Fundamental Basketball Training program to Hypesouth. The former overseas pro has a passion for teaching the game of basketball and a knack for developing players.

Further, he is a second year varsity boys’ assistant coach at Westside-Macon (GA). In his first season, the Seminoles reached the GHSA Class AAA (quarterfinals) Sweet Sixteen.

EDUCATION

Hardnett is a graduate of Central-Macon (GA) High School. Post high school, he attended Middle Georgia Junior College and earned an Associate’s Degree in General Studies. Likewise, in 2016, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies from the University of Connecticut.
