Zyrice Scott has played a huge role in Upson-Lee’s back-to-back championship runs. Now the 6-foot-1 lead guard is shifting focus to recruitment and finishing his final school ball campaign with a bang. The class of 2019 prospect enters his senior season with minimal college interest and a huge chip on his shoulders.

“The goal is to put another banner up and prove to people that winning is most important at Upson-Lee. Extending our consecutive seasons undefeated streak (63) would be great, however, it’s more of a preference than an expectation because as I stated earlier, championships are what matter at UL. No surrendering though. On the recruiting trail, it is not going as well as I know it will eventually go, but I’m doing my part producing against high-level competition during school ball and on the travel circuit and will continue to do so.”

A breakout performer at last year’s national City of Palms Classic and a staple at On the Radar Hoops events over the years, Scott is without a doubt a nice option to explore for colleges in need of a complete floor general with a winning pedigree and high basketball-IQ.

Scott told our staff that he holds an offer from Columbus State University and has received interest from Canisius, Georgia Southern, Georgia Southwestern, and Tusculum among others.
