Khavon Moore is headed to Lubbock, Texas. The ESPN Top-100 wing announced his commitment yesterday. Texas Tech battled many blueblood programs in the sweepstakes for the 6-foot-8 Westside-Macon (GA) product.

Moore held over twenty high-major offers before finally choosing the Red Raiders. Hometown Mercer University and Oklahoma were among the finalists. Despite suffering a season ending leg injury, Texas Tech never wavered and remained in constant contact with the four-star senior.

“Coach Beard and the entire coaching staff were very supportive of me after I got injured. I just wanted to be patient and find the right fit for me. I really like Texas Tech’s style of play because it will allow me to play with the ball in my hand a lot, I like that because I’m a playmaker. Also, my visit this weekend was amazing, the fans showed me a lot of love and the atmosphere was unbelievable.”

Moore comes in at No.39 on ESPN’s national rankings.
