Warner Robins (GA) opens the 2016-17 season against Morgan County (GA), the defending GHSA Class 3-A state champions. Warner Robins aims to start the season on the right track with a victory, while Morgan County begins its quest to defend the state title.
These elite programs have enjoyed their fair share of success as of late. The Demons were the Class 5-A state runner-ups in 2014 and reached the final four in 2015, whereas the Bulldogs have won two out of the last three state championships (2014 & 2016) in the Class 3-A division. Expect this to be one of the more action packed season openers in the state as both programs feature some of the best talent the GHSA has to offer.
